Summer in Samobor

Samobor has always had a rich social life and hosted many manifestations and celebrations. The square in the town's center is the place of attractive events. The Summer in Samobor begins with the "Evenings of the Croatian Love Poetry at Ljubica's Grave". The meeting of Croatian poets on the grave of Julijana Cantilly - Vraz's Ljubica - is inspired by the unhappy love story of Ljubica Cantilly and Stanko Vraz. In July, a series of manifestations celebrate the day of the town's patron saint, St. Anne (July, 26), which is also the Town's Day. Many events on the streets and squares attract visitors and the celebrations end on Sunday with the traditional Feast Day and Fair in front of the Chapel of St. Anne. "Days of Rude Greblica" are organized on the first weekend in July, which is a sales exhibition of old culinary delicacies in Rude near Samobor, accompanied by a rich cultural and artistic program. The festival of the Samobor Music Autumn offers a three-week program. Since September 18 to October 10, many eminent names of the Croatian and international music scene guest-perform in Samobor.
