Oršić Castle

Gornja Bistra, Gornja Stubica

Oršić castle in Gornja Bistra was built in 1775 for the count Krsto II Oršić. The main facade is oriented towards the Zagorje area. The hall on the first floor of the castle is one of the best preserved Baroque spaces of profane architecture in northern Croatia. In the southern end of the west wing there is a court chapel with preserved inventory: the main and two side altars, the emporium and organ. A beautifully arranged and abundant park was arranged around the castle.
