The museum "Staro Selo" in Kumrovec is a unique outdoor museum in Croatia famous for its thirty objects of traditional architecture with ethnographic exhibitions. The museum is located at the heart of the village and presents the tradition of this rural area on the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The old houses keep interesting scenes of the rural culture of living, as well as displays of traditional crafts. The museum's workshops, presentations of old crafts and various events interest many visitors. Kumrovec is also the birthplace of Josip Broz Tito, and nearby, in the beautiful landscape of Zelenjak, there is the monument to the Croatian national anthem, composed in the idyllic greenery of the Klanjec surroundings. The museum in Kumrovec organizes occasional exhibitions in the museum's gallery, workshops and presentations all year round. The permanent ethno exhibitions are: Wedding in Zagorje, Life of the Young Married Couple, From Hemp to Cloth (Weaving), Blacksmithing, Pottery, From Grains to Bread, Wine Making, Licitar Hearts, Birthplace of Josip Broz, Wooden Toys for Children and Folklore Instruments.
