Cret - Carnivorous Plant Habitat

Dubravica, Dubravica

Cret (quagmire) near Dubravica, located at the foot of the Lugarski Brijeg hill, was pronounced a special botanical reserve in 1966. It is one of the rare habitats of the insect-eating plant, the round-leaved sundew Drosera rotundifolia (also found in the district's emblem), the only kind of the species found in Croatia. The quagmire Dubravica is also the site where three species of endemic fungi in Croatia were found.
