Chapel of the Holy Cross

Marija Gorica

The Chapel of the Holy Cross was first mentioned in 1334 in the list of the archdeacon Ivan. It was built in the Gothic style. The oldest chapel inventory, mentioned in the 17th century, was not preserved. At the same time the new church was being built in Marija Gorica, the Chapel of the Holy Cross was renovated. The new Baroque altar was installed in 1758 and later mentioned again in 1762, when the chapel was added 4 altars. The main altar in Marija Gorica is richly decorated and the other altars are artistically more valuable.
