Chapel of St. Anthony

Zabok, Grabrovec

The Chapel of St. Anthony is to the west from Zabok, in Grabovec. The chapel was first mentioned in 1676, when the entrance was added with a bell tower, but was obviously constructed before that time. It is a Gothic structure and was renovated many times. Immediately after WW II, the bell tower was demolished with no official explanation. The reconstruction of walls followed until 1991, when another renovation began upon the initiative of the parish priest Ivan Vnučec and continued by the present priest Marijan Culjak.
