The museum includes the archeological, ethnographic, cultural and historic collections. The archeological fundus contains items gathered at archeological sites in villages Šibice, Javorje, Drenje and Sv. Križ. The ethnological collection contains numerous items presenting the life in the country as if was even before a few decades. In the museum's yard there is a wooden house transported from Marija Gorica (about a hundred years old) with a bread oven and some of the ethnographic items. The cultural and historical collection contains furniture from the castle in Gornja Bistra and the paintings from Jaunševec castle. There are also the gallery of artists born or living in this area. Beside a small ethno park in the museum's yard there are two stone sculptures which used to decorate the driveway to the Laduč castle.
