Anindol Pyramid

Samobor

Anindol Pyramid, a belvedere structure above the chapel of St. George, is located at the altitude of 368 m. The pyramid is 14 m high. It is a metal tower donated by Dalekovod Zagreb. It was built by engineer Medvedović as a lighted tower with meteorological equipment. The foundation is at the same spot of the old wooden pyramid, build with 11 cc of concrete, donated by an entrepreneur from Strmec. Zagreb County helped with 10 thousand kn and 28 citizens donated funds for the purpose. It took 500 working hours to erect the Pyramid and two years to prepare a 4.5 kg heavy documentation with 87 various requests and permits. The view is to Samobor, Samobor hills, Medvednica and Zagreb. The value of the Pyramid is 350 thousand kn; it is guaranteed to stand for 60 years and the maximum number of people enjoying the view of Samobor and the surroundings should not be more than 15 at the same time.
