Samobor Primary School - Section handicraft, makes the traditional ethnic jewelry, under the mentorship of longtime professor Slavica Bišćan. The basic mission of the section is to encourage students to love the ethno - cultural heritage, through the development of indigenous souvenirs of Samobor - Samobor kraluž.
The goal of the section is to protect and promote traditional skills and knowledge of Samobor kraluž, as part of cultural heritage, in order to jewelry increase the attractiveness of Samobor as a tourist destination. Kraluž, kraluš or sometimes descriptively called braided kraluž indicates the type of neck jewelry: a necklace of beads threaded in the form of a network of harmonious colors and ornaments. In the villages around Samobor this is the most festive part of women's traditional costume.
In addition to an active role in the development of Samobor kraluž, the Section has a heritage character - through research and preservation of tradition and educational character - through transfer of knowledge and organization of workshops. In the section is included in the average of 25 -30 students from 5th to 8th grade.
