Only several kilometers away from Samobor, there is the Ethno House under Okić, located under the Old Burg Okić, in the village called Klake. The ethno house belongs to the Slakoper family, mentioned in Okić area already at the end of the 18th century. The ethnic collection and exhibition of the House speaks of the culture of living in the last decades. The Ethno House is decorated in traditional style and contains an impressive historical heritage, such as the Singer sewing machine, an old radio receiver, old irons and ovens. A host and the story about the Old Burg Okić will welcome you in the Ethno House, at an altitude of 333 m. The town of the Frankopan and Erdödy families, once often attacked by the Turks, today is visited only by hikers, an occasional traveler, romantic people because of the belvederes and fans of good food and wine from the Slakoper vineyards. Trips and hikes in the nature, as well as the authentic village ambience with a presentation of the exhibition may be organized for groups. There are creative workshops and shows for children with presentations of the cultural heritage of the Okić surroundings. Family, business meetings and dinners may be organized with home-cooked meals and recreational events on the playground. There are also original products and souvenirs from the area. Recently, accommodation has been made possible for three adults or two children. The alternative is renting the entire house or just rooms.
